What Is Alchemic Skincare?

Alchemic Skincare uses knowledge of the following areas of science: botany, phytotherapy, nature, medicine and spirit.

It is a "whole" experience. The development of our skincare uses a science to help recovery and healing.

Knowledge of all these sciences shape our alchemic skincare - a discipline that looks for the transformation of elements in a way that would help everyone enhance their body, mind and soul.

Poet's Garden Alchemist follows these principles to create products that are holistic. We partner with a laboratory to create all of our skincare & provide you with products that are result driven yet safe.

Cheriese Francoise Anderson

Cheriese Francoise Anderson is an Australian poet living in North Queensland.

Drawing much of her inspiration from nature, life experience and her own spiritual journey, she rejects traditional restrictions of poetry in favour of free falling, smooth as honey flow.

“I find writing very therapeutic. One quote about creative writing that has resonated with me comes from Joan Didion - “I don’t know what I think until I write it down.” I try to let my own writing flow unrestricted, as I find that this is a beautiful way of producing a very raw emotion - and that cannot be forced.”

Her book "WILD CHAI" is available in the store.

poet, spiritual director, and creative dilettante.

“Poetry, photography, spirituality:
my life is about tending
to the lights and darks
in equal measure.”

Alix Klingenberg is a poet, spiritual director, and creative dilettante. She describes herself as a cross between an ethereal woodland creature and an alternative 90’s girl stereotype and is only half-kidding. Alix graduated from Oberlin College in 2003 with a degree in Visual Art where she studied film and photography but also took way too many classes in Spanish literature and personality psychology to not have it count for something.  She is obsessed with people dynamics, myth, philosophy, and imagination.

After making her living as a wedding and portrait photographer for ten years, Alix returned to school to become a Unitarian Universalist Minister. She received her Master of Divinity in 2018 from Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago and began her own business as a spiritual director and creative arts minister.

Alix has been writing poetry for her entire life and remembers wanting to submit a poem to Highlights Magazine when she was 8, but never got up the courage.  Alix has been writing a blog called “Highly Sensitive Extrovert” for several years and began sharing her poetry on social media in 2019.

Alix currently lives in Medford, MA with her family, 2 black cats, and a ridiculous dog named Cricket. She is queer and polyamorous and writes on themes of love & loss, sex & commitment, healing and family systems.  With a passion for social justice, anti-racism, intersectional feminism, community, and the natural world, Alix writes from a place of spiritual transformation.

In her self-published book, Secrets & Stars, Alix uses magical realism and personal experiences to weave a world of shadow work, heartbreak, self-love, and wholeness.  Believing strongly in the magic of everyday things, Alix helps women uncover and tap into their wells of innate, mystical waters. Alix’s poems have also been published in several literary magazines including Beyond Words International Literary Magazine, Sad Girl’s Lit Club, Tempered Runes Press, and Wingless Dreamer. Alix’s inner 8-year-old is enormously relieved it has finally happened.

You can find her book in our store!  To read and engage with her in the community you can follow her on Instagram @AlixKlingenberg or on Facebook @Alix Klingenberg, Writer.

Veronika Lukashevich

Veronika Lukashevich is a poet currently living in Berlin, Germany. Ever since she was a child, she’s been using her poetic voice in search of meaning. Born and raised in Belarus then moving to Austria with her mother at age 13, she’s been naturally inspired by the notions of identity and belonging beyond the traditional borders. Her insatiable appetite to experience the world around her has simultaneously awakened a profound yearning in her soul not only to roam, but also to find home: “I’ve realized that my home has always been the written word.”

Deeply moved by nostalgia and the obscure beauty around her, Veronika uses vivid imagery in her storytelling painted with highly personal and revealing language. She is currently working on her debut poetry collection.

poet and singer/songwriter

Kathana is a poet and singer/songwriter from the Pacific Northwest. Her poems and musings are a collection of self-worth and a romantic life sprinkled with floral imagery.

She draws much of her inspiration from nature and sleepless nights.

Additionally, personal experiences drive her passion to create. After years of exclusively writing songs, Kathana took up poetry to express her thoughts and musings from a more intimate perspective.

I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.
